I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with seven years of experience in psychiatry and medication management. I received my Masters Degree in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. I am based in Tampa, Florida and currently accepting patients for Florida and Colorado. I lived in Colorado for three years in the Denver area as well prior to this where I went to school. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals from all walks of life in navigating challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to complex conditions like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
In your first session with me, you can expect a thorough and compassionate psychiatric evaluation. We’ll start by discussing your current concerns, any mental health challenges you’ve been facing, and your personal history, including medical, emotional, and social factors that may be influencing your well-being. I’ll also ask about any medications you’re currently taking and any relevant family history of mental health conditions. This session is designed to help me understand you as a whole person, so I can tailor a treatment plan that suits your specific needs. It’s a collaborative process, and my goal is to create a safe, open space where you feel comfortable sharing and can begin to understand the options for moving forward with your care.
I believe my greatest strengths as a provider lie in my ability to offer compassionate, personalized care while fostering a collaborative and non-judgmental environment. I’m deeply committed to meeting each client where they are, whether they are seeking help for the first time or have been managing mental health challenges for years. I take pride in tailoring my approach to your individual needs, ensuring that you feel both heard and respected throughout the process. My focus on evidence-based practices allows me to offer the most effective treatment options, while my emphasis on inclusivity ensures that everyone—regardless of background or circumstance—feels supported and empowered. Ultimately, my goal is to build a trusting partnership with each client, helping them take active steps toward healing and well-being.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are seeking compassionate, accessible mental health care, particularly those who may have faced barriers to receiving the treatment they need. I am deeply committed to breaking down the obstacles of long wait times, limited insurance coverage, and stigma that too often prevent people from accessing high-quality care. Whether you are new to mental health services or have been managing a condition for years, I am here to offer evidence-based, personalized care in a supportive, inclusive environment. My approach is ideal for those seeking a collaborative, non-judgmental space where they can feel truly heard and understood—no matter their age, background, or life circumstances. My goal is to empower each client to take charge of their mental health in a way that feels safe, effective, and affirming.

Psychoeducation plays a crucial role in psychiatric medication management appointments, particularly during follow-up visits. It involves providing patients with clear, evidence-based information about their diagnosis, the purpose and expected effects of their prescribed medications, and how these medications can support their recovery. In these appointments, I explain how medications work, potential side effects, the importance of adherence to prescribed regimens, and strategies to manage any challenges related to the medication. Psychoeducation also empowers patients to become active participants in their treatment by fostering understanding and reducing stigma around mental health. This process helps to build trust between me as the provider and you as the patient, increase medication adherence, address concerns or misconceptions, and ultimately improve treatment outcomes.
