Hi there! I’m Rose Favard, LCSW, and I’m glad you’ve made it this far. I hope you’re ready to bloom! Taking the first step toward change takes courage, and if you’re reading this, you’re already on your way. Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges, seeking deeper self-understanding, or ready to build resilience and joy, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, expertise, and unwavering support. With a background in social work and experience working with individuals of many ages and backgrounds, I bring a warm, personalized approach to therapy. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals while developing the tools to thrive. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, LGBTQIA+ concerns, or life transitions, I believe in your strength and capacity for growth. Together, we’ll work toward healing, empowerment, and the life you deserve!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

So, you’ve decided to give therapy a shot? Bold step! I hope our first session makes the rest feel less like jumping into the unknown and more like dipping a toe in to test the waters. Think of our first session as a conversation where we figure out if we’re a good fit. We’ll start with the basics: introductions (yes, I’m a real human, not an AI—though I do come with empathy pre-installed). Then comes the confidentiality chat (aka the "this stays between us" promise, with the very important fine print that safety always comes first). You’ll get to share what’s bringing you here, and I’ll share a bit about how I work. We’ll dive into the *why* behind your visit, to map out where you’ve been and where you’d like to go. We’ll talk goals, whether that’s untangling anxiety, figuring out why you cry at dog adoption commercials, or just finding ways to feel more like *you* again. By the end, If it feels right, we’ll keep going. If not? No offense taken; therapy’s all about the right fit. Ready when you are. Let’s get started.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, I believe meaningful change happens when we combine patience, authenticity, and a touch of lightness. I value balance in our work together; we’ll address real issues with honesty while leaving room for humor when it serves the process. That said, I recognize the weight societal pressures, systemic barriers, and external stressors have on shaping our emotional well-being. We’ll acknowledge those realities while focusing on what’s within your control. Above all, I see therapy as a collaborative journey. I bring curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to learning. Whether we’re building skills, processing past experiences, or navigating present challenges, my goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and a little less alone in the process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life each with their own unique story and strengths. While my experience includes a wide range of mental health concerns—including depression, anxiety, agoraphobia, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, relationship challenges, self-esteem, substance use, developmental disabilities (like ASD and ADHD), social skills, boundary-setting, adjustment difficulties, and LGBTQIA+-related concerns—I’ve found that the clients who thrive most in my care share one important quality: a genuine curiosity and drive for their own well-being. Therapy works best when it’s a collaborative journey. If you’re someone who’s motivated to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors—even when it feels challenging—we’ll likely be a great fit. My role is to meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Have you ever noticed how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors? With CBT, we’ll explore these connections and work on reshaping unhelpful thought patterns that may be holding you back. This structured, evidence-based approach is great for addressing anxiety, depression, and other challenges by teaching practical strategies to reframe negative thinking and adopt healthier behaviors. It’s collaborative, skill-focused, and designed to create real, lasting change.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

We’ll focus on your strengths and the future you want to create, rather than getting stuck in past difficulties. Solution-Focused Therapy is all about identifying what’s already working in your life and building on those successes. We’ll explore your goals, uncover practical steps forward, and help you recognize the resilience you already have. It’s a hopeful, action-oriented approach that keeps our conversations efficient and empowering.

Supportive

At times, what we need most is a safe space to process emotions, feel heard, and gain encouragement. Supportive Psychotherapy provides just that, a warm, nonjudgmental environment where we’ll work together to enhance your coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and navigate life’s challenges. Whether you're dealing with stress, transitions, or emotional struggles, this approach helps foster stability and confidence while offering the understanding you deserve.

Motivational Interviewing

Change can be hard, especially when mixed feelings get in the way. Motivational Interviewing is a gentle, guiding approach that helps you explore your own reasons for making positive shifts in your life. Instead of pushing or persuading, we’ll work together to uncover your personal motivations, resolve ambivalence, and build confidence in your ability to grow. It’s especially helpful if you’re feeling stuck or uncertain about taking the next step.

Psychoeducation

Knowledge is power, and with psychoeducation, we’ll focus on helping you understand your emotions, diagnosis, normalize experiences, and strengthen coping strategies in a clear, relatable way. Think of it as equipping you with the tools and understanding to take charge of your well-being.
