New to Grow
Working with Young Adults and College students have been my passion in therapy, helping you understand the unique stage of life you are in. While I specialize in ADHD and Perfectionism, if you are struggling through your late teens to early 20s, I am happy to talk more about how I can help you connect back to yourself through process therapy and DBT skills
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session we would get to know each other through a basic intake. This consists of introductory questions that captures the entirety of who you are and the multiple layers of situations and life events that may be impacting you and your ability to work towards your goals. Once this is completed, we will touch base on your goals in therapy, with subsequent sessions spent working towards making these goals obtainable, and ultimately meeting them.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I knew back in 2018 that my passion was working with college age students and individuals going through life transitions, and I haven't looked back. This is a unique time in your life, where the pressures around you play a large part in your mental health and development. I strive to help you find and reconnect with the peace, focus, motivation, and genuineness you are looking for. I approach therapy with a Person Centered/Humanistic outlook, and will always strive to meet you where you are at, while figuring out your strengths to amplify them with you. Recently, with my ADHD Clients I have noticed a gap in therapy, with those people struggling with ADHD behaviors often needing a more direct outlook than traditional therapy can provide. This is where my ADHD Coaching comes in - to provide more direct skills based time together, to fill that additional need for education and direction.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work mostly with neurodivergent college students who are focusing on ADHD struggles around motivation and focus. I also see quite a few people working through perfectionism on many levels. Someone who is desiring a space to work on deepening their insight to themselves, while balancing that with behavioral change, would be a good fit to my style of therapy.
Humanistic
I approach all my clients from a humansitic/person centered modality of treatment. This allows you to be the expert on your lived experiences as we work towards you living life to your full potential and thriving.
