Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! It’s really nice to meet you. I’m a licensed professional counselor, and I’ve spent years helping people work through tough emotions like trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I also have a special focus on supporting those who’ve faced emotional challenges because of their work or have been affected by toxic environments that impact both mental and physical health. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just need someone to talk to about what’s going on, I’m here for you. Whether it's letting go of past struggles, managing stress, or figuring out how to navigate a tough time, we can work together to make sense of it all. My approach is interactive, collaboration and compassion. We’ll work at your pace to uncover patterns, explore new perspectives, and develop strategies that align with your values and vision for the future. Sometimes, life takes unexpected turns, and things don’t always go as planned. But no matter where you’re at or how things have unfolded, you don’t have to do this alone. I’m here to help you find a way through.
During our first session, it’s really about getting to know each other and seeing if working together feels like the right fit. I’ll ask some basic intake questions to get a sense of your story, what’s bringing you in, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You’ll also have time to ask me any questions you might have about how I work or what to expect going forward. Before we meet, I’ll be sending you an email with a welcome packet that includes important details about my practice policies and how sessions are structured. Be sure to keep an eye out for it. It’ll help you feel more prepared and comfortable going into our first conversation. This is your space, and my goal is to make sure it feels safe, supportive, and centered around you from day one. I’m really looking forward to connecting with you.
I deeply respect each person’s unique journey and the strength it takes to show up and do the work of healing. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of walking alongside people who’ve faced trauma and significant life challenges, and I truly believe that even in the midst of pain, something meaningful, hopeful, and beautiful can emerge. In our work together, I’ll be here to listen with compassion, move at your pace, and create space for you to feel safe and supported. At the same time, I’ll gently challenge you to explore new perspectives and possibilities that can lead to meaningful emotional growth and a deeper sense of well-being.
I tend to connect really well with clients who are ready to dig in and do the inner work. People who might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or feel like something’s just off, but still have a strong desire to feel better and move forward. Many of the folks I work with have been through a lot, whether it’s trauma, demanding or toxic work environments, or just the weight of carrying too much for too long. They're looking for a space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. I approach our work together from a strength-based perspective, always holding deep respect and honor for your past experiences and the resilience it took to get to this point. If you’re open to showing up for yourself, even if you’re not sure where to begin, that’s alright, we’ll likely be a great fit. Therapy with me is a collaborative, supportive space where your story matters, your voice is heard, and together, we’ll work toward healing in a way that feels grounded, empowering, and true to you.
Sometimes, the way we think and respond to life’s challenges can hold us back from feeling our best. Through CBT, we gently explore patterns in your thoughts and behaviors, helping you build healthier ways of coping and creating space for personal growth and emotional well-being. I can help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors to foster healthier emotional responses, develop coping skills, and improve their overall well-being. This approach supports individuals in gaining insight and help them understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, promoting personal growth and resilience.
Our early relationships shape how we connect with others and with ourselves. If you’ve experienced trauma, inconsistent caregiving, or find it difficult to build close relationships, we can work together to understand those patterns. By reflecting on your past, we’ll uncover what might be impacting you today and move toward healing and greater self-awareness. Together, we can explore the impact of early relationships and unresolved emotional wounds. Together, we address issues such as difficulty with intimacy, inconsistent caregiving, or trauma history, improving relationship patterns, emotional awareness, and self-understanding for deeper healing and lasting change.
Relationships can be a source of love and support, but they can also bring stress, miscommunication, or disconnection. Over several years, I have helped couples navigate these challenges with compassion, creating a safe space to reconnect, strengthen their bond, and grow together. Couples can strengthen emotional connection and improve communication by addressing unresolved conflict, attachment wounds, or external stressors that impact the relationship. They can learn to navigate challenges together while building trust and intimacy.
