I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, (LCMHC), and a National Certified Counselor, (NCC) based in the foothills of North Carolina. I received my Masters degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). I have been practicing for over 7 years and have worked with teens and adults on issues surrounding anxiety, depression, career, relationships, school, etc. I help my clients with strategies and skills to have a more fulfilling life.

I received my Ph.D. in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Iowa in 2009. I also received a Master of Divinity degree with courses in pastoral care and counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1995. I have approximately 25 years of counseling-related work experience in a variety of settings (college, schools, and community mental health settings). In addition, I have taught counseling courses in graduate mental health programs. I have worked with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, college students, and adults at various life stages, as well as couples, families, and groups. I am also trained to conduct a variety of assessments for learning disabilities, ADHD, personality disorders, mood disorders, and vocational/career interests.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist( in NC). I have 24 years’ experience working with children and adults Including those with various mental health and addiction issues. Keith received his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University in May 1994 and a his Masters of Social Work from California State University in December 2010. I have been trained with Triple P Level 3, Together Facing the Challenge provider and trainer, Motivational Interviewing, and is certificated in providing assessment and therapy for youth for problem sexual behaviors.

As a clinician, I create a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported. Fluent in English and Portuguese, I work with youth, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. I am passionate about understanding each individual's unique experiences and helping them identify their values, strengths, and abilities. Using a strengths-based, client-centered approach, I guide clients toward a meaningful and personalized path for growth and help them navigate life's challenges.
