My name is Swan Roberts. I am a licensed therapist, LCSW (licensed clinical social worker). I love helping people through my work and I have been doing this for 6 years. I decided to become a therapist because I had a therapist that helped me ease through the transition of getting out medically from active duty army service, which inspired me to follow this career path. It takes courage to make the decision of facing the things that are causing you turmoil, including trauma, and I am glad you are here. I look forward to meeting you and help you transform your life through healing evidence based interventions: EMDR, IFS, SE, & CBT. After trauma, you may be overthinking, hypervigilant, anxious in relationships, struggling with people pleasing, and not feeling confident or competent even if you can rationalize that you are. With EMDR, IFS, and SE, I can help you trust yourself and feel more calm believing your resiliency and strength, to live your life fully. It is truly rewarding helping people heal from trauma, to see their lives, and relationships transform as symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder are replaced by confidence, security, empathy, and compassion. It is possible to heal and enjoy your life again, even for the first time.

Therapy represents a space to heal from the things that weigh us down. Most of the time, our actions make sense when we look at what we’ve been through. But sometimes, those same experiences and beliefs start to make life feel harder than it needs to be. As a therapist, I see my role as walking alongside people as they heal and grow into their most genuine, healthy selves. I work to create a space where you can freely express yourself and feel seen and heard. I’m especially interested in how you experience the world and how your mental health influences your day-to-day life.

As a dual-licensed LPCC and LMHC, I bring advanced clinical training, depth of experience, and a genuine commitment to helping clients experience meaningful and lasting change. I am a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist and hold certification in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Core Skills, allowing me to work skillfully with the deeper emotional patterns that often drive anxiety, depression, trauma responses, addiction, and relational struggles. My approach is both evidence-based and deeply compassionate. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), positive psychology, and structured psychoeducation to create treatment that is practical, personalized, and effective. Whether we are identifying unhelpful thinking patterns, strengthening emotional regulation, resolving shame, or clarifying your values and goals, our work will be intentional and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel safe, grounded, and purposeful. Clients often come to me seeking relief from overwhelm, self-doubt, relational pain, or internal conflict. Through IFS and shame-informed work, we gently explore the parts of you that may feel stuck, burdened, or misunderstood—while building self-leadership, confidence, and resilience. Client satisfaction and measurable progress are central to my work. I regularly assess growth, refine goals, and ensure our sessions remain aligned with what matters most to you. My aim is not just symptom reduction, but helping you develop clarity, emotional stability, and a deeper sense of peace of mind. If you are ready for thoughtful, structured, and transformative therapy, I would be honored to support you.

Each person has a natural inclination toward wholeness. Sometimes that movement gets stifled—by circumstances, stress, or seasons of life—and counseling can help at any age. My office is a place to explore who you are and address what’s getting in the way—whether fear, trauma, mental health concerns, or the very practical question of what to do when your child has a meltdown in the grocery aisle. Therapy with me is a partnership. You’re the expert on your life; I bring training, perspective, and practical tools. We’ll blend skills you can use right away with deeper work at a pace that feels safe. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, and Jungian psychology, informed by Stoic and existential philosophies. As a certified yoga instructor, I integrate awareness, meditation, and gentle movement when helpful. I’m trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and with children I use child-centered play therapy. I’m independently licensed in Ohio and Kentucky with supervision designation.
