Hello! I am Samiyra a LCSW in the state of Kentucky. I received my education from the University of Kentucky where I completed my BSW and MSW. I enjoy partnering with my clients to take the difficulties of life and encouraging them to see the strength embedded inside of them. I understand that trying therapy for the first time can be scary or overwhelming. A warm and comforting provider can make any experience easier which is what I aim to do for my clients. I have experience working with couples, those struggling with addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidal thought, PTSD etc.
In our first session you can expect open and honest conversation regarding your reasons for seeking therapy. This will allow rapport building which is essential to the therapeutic relationship. Through problem identification, and goal setting this will be our road map through therapy sessions.
With my 7+ year of experience my strengths are making clients feels safe, comfortable and encouraged. I have been able to have difficult conversations that foster real growth. “Just like a seed that spouts and grows into a beautiful flower they too have to go through the dirt to blossom.”
I am to work with clients who are aware of their identified problem and who would like to partner with a helping professional to overcome. My clients do not have to have all the answers but the desire to improve their current circumstance. They often have lost a sense of self, anxiety ridden, lack of proper supports, anda difficulties with connection.
