I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. I have a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and have extensive training in risk assessment, family therapy, sexual abuse and complex trauma. I like assessing the needs of my clients and then use a variety of proven therapy methods to help them resolve emotional and behavioral difficulties. After working in school and non-profit settings for several years, I saw a lot of people struggling with mental health issues that were not properly addressed. I felt called to provide children, adolescents, couples and adults with a safe space to explore and resolve these concerns. I look forward to helping you and your family.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me tailor a plan we can start with for our next scheduled session.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

Cognitive behavioral therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Mindfulness, and Functional Family Therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Creating a space to identify and challenge negative self-talk. Help client reframe their inner narrative.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with teens, adolescents, and adults who are at a point in their lives where they are ready to pause, reflect, and look inward. My ideal clients are those who are open to exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with honesty and curiosity. They may be navigating life transitions, facing challenges in relationships, struggling with self-esteem, or seeking clarity about their goals and values. These clients are not necessarily looking for a quick fix, but rather a safe and supportive space to better understand themselves, build resilience, and create meaningful change. Whether it’s a young person learning to manage emotions and identity, or an adult seeking deeper self-awareness and growth, I work best with individuals who value introspection and are motivated to engage in the therapeutic process.

I knew from the start LaToya got me. I am looking forward to future visits. I left our session feeling so good about myself and that my feelings and what I am going through is something we can work through.

I enjoyed how authentic Latoya was in our meeting. She did not make it feel like the stereotypical therapy session. I also appreciate that she is goal/solution oriented and that is how I am. Excited for more sessions and growth.
