I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) based in California. I received my Masters from the University of Southern California and have been practicing for 4 years. I also have extensive training in child development and parenting and offer support to families, parents or children.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, discuss any questions you may have, and then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help us create goals and a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with families at a home based service for four years I have learned the value of meeting the client where they are. We will take therapy at the pace that feels right to you in order to create a tailored experience. In addition I have worked with people of all ages from 1 years old to 65 years old, in couples, in families and as individuals. This has prepared me with the tools to support the needs of various clients and age groups and to understand the complexity of relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals, young adults or families. Whether you have one other person in your family or too many to count we all deal with familial stress at times. My clients are people brave enough to ask for support and looking for tools to help navigate life transitions, relationship stress, and undesired behaviors or feelings.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

As a previous fellow of the early childhood program with UCLA + DMH I have extensive training in attachment. As a fellow we spent over 160 hours study early childhood development and attachment. I use this expertise in my work with clients as we explore their own attachment style and history and how that is impacting their current functioning and relationships.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I am currently certified in Child Parent Psychotherapy and have worked with many families using this modality. I understand the commitment that families make by engaging in CPP and the deep dive into history and trauma that comes with that commitment. I also see the great benefit in CPP as it can create immense change within relationships as well as with processing trauma. I utilize CPP to inform my work with intergenerational trauma as this is a speciality of CPP and something impacting so many of us.

Narrative

I believe we all have an intricate web of stories, experiences and interactions that have played a vital role in how we show up today. Due to this belief I integrate narrative therapy into my practice with interventions such as story telling, mapping the problem and including witnesses (all with client consent of course).

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My interest in CBT began in graduate school and grew throughout the many trainings I received as a Therapist. I find that cognitive behavioral therapy is beneficial for a wide range of people and symptoms and useful in a therapist toolbox. In the beginning, we can work on identifying and reframing negative thoughts. Once the thought patterns have been identified we can use behavioral activation and activity selection to support behavioral change. Of course like all other modalities, CBT is most effective when we tailor it your specific needs and preferences!
