Hello! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio, and I have 20 years experience in providing therapy. I can provide sessions at my office for in-person sessions, as well as in video sessions. I work with individuals ages 18 and up, as well as couples. Together with my clients, I will help achieve the best version of themselves, working to resolve life issues and challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together I get to know you! We will talk about what brings you to therapy, but also about who you are - things you enjoy, challenges you are having, your family and supports and education and career experience. Getting to know you beyond what brought you to therapy helps me to help you with those things you are struggling with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My experience working with people over the past 20 years has truly helped me to develop strategies that work with people from varying backgrounds and experiences. I like to help problem solve challenges, and help my clients work towards coping with these challenges, and devising strategies to solve these challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and utilize it in most session. This method works well for individuals dealing with life challenges, as well as those who have experienced trauma.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been trained in DBT, and use most often with people who feel challenged by their emotions and are triggered by relationship issues.

Motivational Interviewing

This method is used most with individuals who know they need to make changes, but just are not sure if they are ready to change, or how to go about it.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I utilize mindfulness strategies with with nearly all clients, especially those experiencing anxiety and need strategies to cope and reduce their anxiety.

Eclectic

The eclectic approach utilizes multiple methods of therapy, and those methods are chosen on a case by case basis, and can change in each session. Eclectic therapy works best with therapists, like me, who have been trained in multiple approaches.
