I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with a professional background in counseling, early childhood education, and social work. Having experienced immigration twice, studying abroad, and building a career in a new country, I bring both clinical knowledge and lived experience to my work with clients. I also hold a certificate in neurodevelopmental disabilities and completed 325 hours of interdisciplinary training through the Nevada Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (Nevada LEND) program. My experience includes supporting children and adolescents with ADHD, Tourette syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental and emotional challenges. I provide warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care to clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, family and relationship concerns, life transitions, and negative self-beliefs. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. As a bilingual Korean and English-speaking therapist, I am especially comfortable providing therapy in Korean for clients who feel more at ease expressing their emotions, experiences, and cultural concerns in their native language.
In our first session, I will take time to get to know you, your story, and what brought you to therapy. I believe that in order to create a meaningful treatment plan, it is important for you to share where you are hurting, what feels difficult, and what you hope will change. The more I understand your experiences, emotions, and goals, the better we can work together in the same direction. You do not need to have everything figured out before we begin. Our work together will be a gradual process, and change can happen naturally over time, much like moving through seasons and changing clothes as the weather shifts. In the first session, I hope you feel comfortable sharing as much as you are ready to share, while knowing that we will move at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to recognize and affirm each client’s strengths, even when they may have difficulty seeing those strengths in themselves. I strive to understand each client’s pain with compassion and curiosity, and I am committed to continuously learning, researching, and expanding my clinical tools to support each client’s healing process. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I am currently training in EMDR under supervision, and I actively incorporate evidence-based practices through ongoing study, consultation, and clinical learning. My goal is to provide thoughtful and individualized care that helps clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they move toward meaningful change.
I am best positioned to serve Korean-speaking clients and individuals who are seeking culturally responsive care in Korean. I provide a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed space where clients can feel understood, respected, and supported within their language and cultural context. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, family conflict, relationship challenges, life transitions, and negative self-beliefs. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, process painful experiences, strengthen coping skills, and build a stronger sense of self-worth, emotional balance, and hope.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify negative self-beliefs and understand how these thoughts affect their emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Together, we will explore patterns, and gently work toward healthier and more compassionate ways of seeing themselves.
I am an EMDR therapist in training, and I provide a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed space where clients can safely explore and process painful experiences at their own pace. Through EMDR, my goal is to support clients in reducing emotional distress connected to past experiences and building a stronger sense of safety, stability, and self-worth.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to help clients manage intense emotions, anger, and emotional overwhelm in healthier ways. Together, we will practice mindfulness, breathing exercises, grounding skills, and distress tolerance strategies so clients can pause, calm their body, and respond more thoughtfully rather than reacting impulsively.
