A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive assessment conducted to better understand your mental health needs and guide appropriate treatment. It’s often the first step in developing a personalized care plan. During the evaluation, we’ll discuss your current symptoms, mental health history, medical background, lifestyle, and how your mental health is impacting daily life. The goal is to gather a clear picture of your emotional and psychological well-being. Based on this assessment, a diagnosis may be made, and treatment options—such as medication, therapy, or additional support—will be discussed. The process is collaborative, respectful, and focused on helping you move toward improved mental health and overall well-being.

Laura works hard to build positive connections with all clients. She strives to ensure a non-judgmental, respectful relationship. Laura provides psychiatric medication management alongside holistic psychiatric services, supporting a collaborative and client-centered approach to care.
Laura is best positioned to serve individuals who are looking for thoughtful, personalized, and root-cause–focused psychiatric care. Her ideal clients are those who want to understand why they are experiencing symptoms—not just silence them—and who are open to a comprehensive, functional approach to mental health. Laura works well with individuals who value a conservative, evidence-informed prescribing style. Many of her clients prefer to use medication judiciously and strategically, rather than as a first or only solution. They are open to exploring contributing factors such as sleep, nutrition, stress physiology, hormones, inflammation, trauma history, and lifestyle patterns as part of their treatment plan. Common concerns may include anxiety, depression, mood instability, burnout, attention and focus challenges, or stress-related symptoms. Laura also works well with individuals who feel “stuck,” who may have tried medications in the past without fully understanding their options, or who want a more collaborative and transparent approach to care.
