My name is Kimberly Murphy and I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I evaluate, diagnose, and provide medication management services for many mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, schizophrenia, and Bipolar disorder. You will find that I provide a compassionate and evidence-based treatment approach to help clients manage their mental health. You will also find I am dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and live a fulfilling life.
Initial evaluations generally consist of gathering and completing background information, building a provider/client rapport, and the initial development of the treatment plan. Treatment plans are ever evolving so it may change throughout the plan of care. Please note: If controlled substances (stimulants, benzodiazepines, hypnotics) are potentially to be used for your treatment plan, you MUST be able to attend an in-office visit initially and as required by regulations. It is preferable that you reside within 50 miles of the office location in Pensacola, Florida.
I generally develop treatment plans in conjunction with the client. At times, the client may feel this is a new concept as traditionally when seen by a provider prescription orders are written and that is what the client was expected to follow. Allowing the client input in their plan not only helps them feel they have more control, it also facilitates compliance.
Throughout my career as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I have had the privilege of treating clients ages 6-99 for a wide range of mental health needs. All treatment plans are individualized as there is no set plan that fits all a client's needs. I offer evaluation, diagnosing, and medication management services only .
