Welcome! My goal is to support you in making positive changes in your life, become empowered, address challenges head-on, and improve overall well-being. Maybe, you feel that your life is a tangled ball of yarn - chaotic, messy, and disorganized. You aren't quite sure where to begin to untangle it, and the thought of starting this task seems scary. Taking the first step to untangle this yarn can feel overwhelming, but with a little patience and willingness, we can begin to unravel each knot together. You deserve healing, compassion for yourself, and self -discovery. No matter where you're at on your journey, I am here to provide a safe space for you to share your thoughts and feelings without judgement and with acceptance.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with building rapport where I'm interested in learning about you! I approach our session with a curious mind and I'm more than happy to answer any questions. We'll discuss your interests, strengths, and presenting challenges that brought you to therapy. From there, we will create goals for therapy together to support you in achieving personal goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) based in Philadelphia. I've been a counselor for 3 years working primarily with adults with diagnosed substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. I have experience in helping clients address underlying issues such as career stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and family conflict. What you can expect is for me to listen without judgement, offer support, help you gain new perspective, and develop coping skills to manage stressors. I look forward to connecting with you!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Often, the clients I work with enter therapy with ambivalence to make desired changes in their lives. I normalize the change process and work with you to process the uncomfortable thoughts and feelings that may arise during therapy. A common barrier of making personal changes in our lives is often fear - fear of failure, fear of the unknown, and even fear of success. With this fear also comes negative self talk. There may be comfort in sticking with old patterns of thinking and behaviors, as it has served some purpose or function in your life. My perspective is that clients are the experts in their own lives and they have the skills and resources within themselves to make changes in their lives. I'm here to help you discover these resources, build confidence, and reframe the negative self talk that's holding you back.
