Hi! My name is Robin. I became a lcsw because we all face challenging times - I genuinely want to "help you" explore the positives you possess - that will assist to bringing the joys of life back to you. I provide a safe space to be heard and understood. I blend empathy, compassion, a sense of humor and my clinical skills to help you thrive.

First session

We will work closely to build trust quickly and maintain an authentic relationship; I want to make sure you feel safe without judgement to share just what has brought you to therapy. You will immediately recognize I am empathetic, understanding, and validate your thoughts. You are not a diagnosis, but a whole person with relationships, culture, work and other intricate things to consider. Let's find your strengths and capabilities to balance this (whole) person!

Strengths

I too have been thrown many obstacles during my life! With these personal experiences - I have learned to be more compassionate, understanding, and reflective while developing a deeper appreciation for resilience, human connection, and the importance of mental health. I take these qualities with me personally to be content in my life - while professionally, I have been able to make a difference in people's lives.

Ideal clients

I deal with a variety of clients from those needing after-in-patient hospitalization therapy, transitions of divorce, death, jobs, and whatever life throws our way to that which contributes to trauma, anxiety and depression. I believe once a client has taken the step to talk therapy - they are motivated to "feel better"/I work on many levels throughout sessions to getting to know and build trust and to recognize and meet successfully their personal goals.

Treatment methods

Strength-Based

We all have positives and strengths - sometimes we need assistance to find them! Rather than focus on deficits, problems or your diagnosis - let's use what works. Concentrate on you! - your strengths, your solutions to overcome challenges.
