Hi! I’m a licensed professional, counselor, specializing in grief and loss, couples therapy, trauma, men’s issues, and anger management. I have been in practice for over 20 years after getting two masters degrees from Abilene Christian University and Amberton University. In addition, I am a certified facilitator in providing marital and premarital counseling, using the Prepare and Enrich program. Also, I am certified in thanatology, the study of death, dying and bereavement, through the Association for Death Education and Counseling.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session and following sessions, you will experience a safe environment to openly share what you need to. Our first meeting will focus on getting to know each other, talking about your goals in counseling, and working toward those goals. In all our sessions, my goal is to let you know that you’ve been heard and understood. Throughout the process we will both talk about progress that has been made and areas we want to focus on in future meetings.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

You will find me to be an experienced, empathetic listener skilled in counseling techniques proven to work. Through my personal life experiences, my history of being a counseling client, my professional training, and my experiences with clients, I have developed methods that encourage and teach clients effective life coping skills.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adults who are being challenged by life experiences and are looking for support and guidance are the clients I work best with. These clients have described me as open, supportive, non-confrontational, and non-judgmental.

Grief Therapy
