Hi, I'm Jackie, and welcome—I am honored to be part of your care and aim to create a safe, comfortable space where you feel heard and understood. Every person has a unique story, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach to care; together, we'll develop a treatment plan that meets your individual needs, goals, and experiences. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Also, I welcome teens, adults, and older persons. We'll move at a pace that feels right for you, addressing your concerns one step at a time while noticing how different parts of your life may be connected. I will treat you with the same respect and compassion that I would want for my own family, and you will never be alone.

First session

During your first visit, we'll spend time getting to know one another and building a foundation for your care. We'll go through a series of questions that may seem a little lengthy or even unrelated at times, but each one helps me better understand who you are, your experiences, your personality, and the symptoms you've been dealing with. Many people are surprised by how much they learn about themselves during this process. Once we've covered the essentials, I like to spend the rest of our time getting to know you as a person, listening to your story, answering your questions, and beginning to discuss what the next steps might look like together.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths is listening—not just to what you say, but to the meaning behind it. During our conversations, I pay close attention to your words, your experiences, and the patterns that emerge over time. While our sessions may sometimes feel like casual conversation, I'm thoughtfully gathering the information that helps me understand the whole picture and develop a treatment plan that truly fits you. My approach stands out because I look beyond symptoms to understand you as a whole person. Together, we'll identify goals that are meaningful to you and create a plan that reflects your unique experiences, strengths, and challenges. With 27 years of caring for people from every walk of life, I've learned that there is more than a single solution in mental health care. I combine clinical expertise with real-life experience to help uncover the root causes of your concerns rather than simply treating the symptoms, so we can build lasting, meaningful progress together.

Ideal clients

Individuals with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. No one should have to live uncomfortably. I choose elders because it is hard for them to go through many of life's changes. They are beginning to suffer many losses and may feel useless because they are often left without a purpose, and often develop grief. I am challenged by persons with chronic illnesses and polypharmacy. It can be difficult to find a medication that is best suited for the patient and won't interact with their current. medications.. They may have a loss of independence. and sometimes terrifying symptoms.
