My practice focuses on women's mental health. I love to help women create the lives they want and deserve. I work with my clients to help create plans of how they can make changes that will empower them to feel their best mentally and physically. I have post masters education in perinatal mood disorders (post partum depression, anxiety, old). I believe every person has the power within them to create the lives they have dreamed of. I see therapy as a form of self-care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In my first session with a new client I will briefly discuss the therapy process. The first session is a time for my new client to express why they are seeking therapy and how I can best serve them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel real compassion for my clients and want the best for them. I am invested in doing everything I can to help clients reach their goals and alleviate and suffering.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to explore with my clients how limiting beliefs and self-talk can impact how you feel and behave. The exploration of this connection combined with the implementing new ways of thinking can help clients feel happier and relieve mental health symptoms.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I help clients who have experienced trauma in their lives learn how trauma can impact how you feel and choices we make. Trauma-Focused CBT can help clients heal from trauma and improve mental health.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

In my practice I like to incorporate mindfulness techniques such as breath work, meditation, exercise, grounding, and tapping. Mindfulness tools in therapy can be used daily to help calm the nervous system which is often why we experience anxiety, rumination, and stress.

Mind-body approach

In my practice I like to incorporate the fact that the mind and the body are connected. Research shows that moving the body through exercise or physical activities like walking improves mental health. I like to explore with my clients how their mental health impacts their physical health.

Strength-Based

I like to focus on my clients strengths because every person has them. We can focus on your strengths to help you learn new coping skills and empowerment to live the life you want.
