I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, based in South Carolina. I received my Masters in Nursing from Duquesne University (Forensic Nursing), Post-Masters in Nursing from University of Virginia (PMHNP). I served in both U.S. Navy and U.S. Public Health Service, retired in 2019. I have been practicing for 12 yrs. I have experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
In our first session we will complete a physical and mental health evaluation, review medical records from prior treatment, discuss your goal and expectations of treatment, discuss treatment options, order diagnostic tests as appropriate, develop treatment plan, answer any questions you may have. We will also discuss the rules and expectations of this practitioner. Follow up appointment will be scheduled at the end of the session.
I'm a knowledgeable provider with years of experience to help guide you on your path to recovery.
I enjoy treating active duty, veterans and their family members. I can relate to their experiences. I enjoy helping young adults struggling with anxiety and depression as they navigate through life.

Right from the start, Dr. Crook was very polite and kind, always making jokes to help lighten the mood of our session. He was very helpful in providing a list of medications that could help me and helped me choose the best one for me. I would recommend him to anyone who needs assistance finding the right medication to help them in their life and if they want a smile on their face because of his kindness!
