New to Grow
I have been a Licensed Clinical Worker for 37 years, treating both men and women of all ages. I have trained and worked on numerous treatment modalities and behavioral health issues. Most recently I worked treating male and female veterans. I did this for the past 18 years until my semi-retirement in 20025. Prior to this work. I had a private practice then worked at various outpatient clinics. My expertise is too extensive to discuss here but I would gladly answer any questions the client might have. I enjoy helping others improve their lives and hope to continue in this role.
The first session will be spent gathering and sharing background information. Time will be spent establishing a therapeutic relationship and determining if this will be a good fit for the client and therapist. I will be available to answer questions about myself and explain the therapeutic process and the methods that might be used in treatment.
I always try to be open minded, non-judgmental, compassionate. I work to meet the client where they are at and build from there. My goal is to help the client develop the skills needed to move forward in their life.
I do not have regarding age or sex. I have spent many years working with all types of problems. My ideal client would be motivated for treatment, not court ordered. Someone wanting to understand their problems and seeking to develop positive coping skills to improve their life circumstances. My goal is to work with the client to develop a treatment plan that can be used as a tool to assist them in reaching their best quality of life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
This treatment method has been successful with several issues, especially depression and anxiety. The client will be supported in identifying problems and developing positive coping skills. This will provide them the ability to feel empowered and in control .
