I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to be empowered by life's obstacles which we all must face. No one should feel alone in a storm. I understand that clients want to feel heard with a sense of empathy and understanding. I have provided trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, behavioral modification, and emotional support for managing mental health symptoms. I create a safe space for my clients to express their feelings and I provide positive feedback. We all go through changes and sometimes those changes are difficult to cope with. You do not have to struggle; you are not alone. I specialize in helping people reframe their thinking in order to overcome past traumatic experiences, familial conflict, and low self-esteem. I offer individual, couples/marriage, and family therapy from the comfort of your own home. I will work around your busy lifestyle to help you build a treatment plan to accomplish your goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Intake sessions are the foundation of therapy. They set the tone for the session, including identifying key issues and goals, giving a personal background history and identifying past traumas and experiences.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I focus on significant childhood and adolescent trauma that contributes to negative behaviors, attitudes relationships and social connections. I work with clients to explore the long-term effects of their trauma and we work together to develop a plan for processing and overcoming their adverse experiences.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

" Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is an action-oriented approach to psychotherapy that stems from traditional behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives. With this understanding, clients begin to accept their hardships and commit to making necessary changes in their behavior, regardless of what is going on in their lives and how they feel about it."
