Isn't it annoying when we have thoughts that we KNOW are not rational, but our mind says "oh well" and causes us to worry about it anyway? I get how annoying that can be, and I want to help you manage those worries! How about feeling as though you have nothing to look forward to or you can't get rid of that dark cloud hovering over your head? I can help you with that too! Do you still find yourself not being able to move on from that traumatic event you experienced? I am here to help! I offer a very person-centered approach to therapy. I want you to have as much control and say over your treatment as possible. If it's important to you that we talk about it, it's important to me!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I discuss my way of approaching therapy (catered to the client), gather background information, begin establishing rapport, and develop a treatment plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I always meet clients where they are and provide unconditional positive regard. I also approach appointments with a non-judgmental attitude and provide clients with the safe space they need to have a productive session!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with clients dealing with LGBTQ+/gender identity issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

It can be difficult to accept when things are difficult. However, we can learn to live our lives in a positive way without letting it bring us down! I can help you learn to accept what you can't change and turn it into a positive instead of letting it be negative!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our behaviors are often driven by our thoughts and feelings about a situation. Let me help you process those thoughts so your behaviors are beneficial for you instead of harmful!

Compassion Focused

I care about my clients and the progress they want to see within themselves. I am excited to be part of that process!

Gender-affirming therapy

I accept everyone for who they are and believe that everyone should be happy in their own skin. I want to help you love yourself and be comfortable with your identity if you struggle with that. I also want you to know that there is nothing wrong with how you choose to identify!

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I cater my sessions around each clients' specific need. Everyone is different, so everyone needs a different approach!
