I earned my Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the University of La Verne in La Verne, CA. I specialize in working with teens and adults with trauma, depression, anxiety, extreme mood swings, relationship challenges, and difficult family dynamics. I am also passionate about supporting the unique needs of the LGBTQIA community. I completed my clinical training at several hospitals including UCLA and Children's Hospital Orange County (CHOC) in their Intensive Outpatient program, mental health emergency department and mental health inpatient center. I completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at UC Davis Medical Center where I achieved certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and psychosis assessment (Structured Interview for Psychosis Symptoms). I have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In the first session, we will review your reasons for starting therapy, get to know each other better, and prioritize where we want to focus our subsequent therapy sessions on. Remember, this is your time! I am simply here to guide us to your goals.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I strive to integrate authenticity, warmth, cultural humility and a strengths-based approach to my clients’ values and individual treatment goals. One of my primary goals in treatment is to create a space where my clients can feel safe to express themselves while also being challenged to grow and learn new skills. I collaborate with my clients to incorporate their personal views with my areas of expertise to address their goals. I use humor, music, and other creative methods in treatment. I am passionate about helping teens and young adults learn new skills and perspectives to navigate life’s challenges. I believe that no matter the diagnosis or symptoms, all people can create a life worth living and accomplish their goals with adequate support and care!

VirtualMy treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients meet their therapy goals by understanding their thinking patterns, feelings and behaviors to increase awareness and great change. We will also explore underlying beliefs and strive for deeper self exploration.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use a DBT informed approach to help clients connect to their values, improve mindfulness, use their wise mind, and learn effective skills to manage difficult emotions and behaviors. The goal of DBT is to regulate big emotions and strive to live a life worth living through behavior changes.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I strive to integrate authenticity, warmth, cultural humility and a strengths-based approach to my clients’ values and individual treatment goals. One of my primary goals in treatment is to create a space where my clients can feel safe to express themselves while also being challenged to grow and learn new skills.
Gender-affirming therapy
I provide a therapeutic space and relationship which fosters gender affirming support, which may include additional resources to make holistic recommendations beyond individual therapy.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness- based therapy helps clients practice nonjudgemental awareness of the present moment, which leads to decreased stress, increased emotional control, and even relaxation!
