Hi! My name is Raven-Symone Moten and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) located in Ohio. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. I have 14 years of experience in the field of social work, working with various populations. My clients would describe me as a good listener, compassionate, and attentive. I help clients who are struggling with life challenges find their way, without feeling alone. I believe no one should have to go through difficult times alone.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked with various population for the past 14 years, I've developed several tools for helping you identify the root cause of your challenges and helping create a treatment plan that leads to measurable progress.
I love working with adult who are trying to navigate the transitions of life. My clients are eager to improve their quality of life but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about challenges they are facing.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to address a variety of mental health conditions. CBT aims to help clients identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are unhelpful and learn practical self-help strategies. My goal is to collaborate with clients on a treatment strategy designed to their circumstances.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) treatment focuses on helping the clients find the motivation to change their behavior by addressing insecurities and ambivalent feelings. I help clients with building skills to overcome those unwanted feelings.
