About me

Hi, I’m Tiffani, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut with 11 years of experience helping people navigate depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and complicated family dynamics. I’ve had the privilege of working with people through many different seasons of life, and those experiences have shaped the way I practice today—warm, direct, collaborative, and culturally affirming. Maybe you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or tired of finding yourself in the same patterns. Maybe you know something needs to change but aren’t quite sure where to start. You don’t have to figure it out on your own.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is really a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what brought you to therapy, and what you’re hoping will feel different. You don’t need to have the right words or have everything figured out before we meet. I’ll listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help us start making sense of what’s been weighing on you. I want you to feel comfortable being honest and know that you’re not being judged. We’ll take it at a pace that feels right for you and begin figuring out together what support will be most helpful.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In therapy, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s really going on, and work together to create meaningful change. I’ll offer support, but I’ll also challenge you when it’s needed—with honesty, compassion, and no judgment. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, talk about the things that are hard to say out loud, and feel genuinely heard.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, and create meaningful change in their life. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, family conflict, stress, or challenges with communication and boundaries. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are open to exploring the patterns, experiences, and relationships that influence how they think, feel, and connect with others. My ideal client does not need to have everything figured out—they simply need a willingness to engage in the therapeutic process. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, healthier communication, stronger relationships, improved coping skills, and a deeper sense of confidence and emotional well-being. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel heard and can develop practical tools for creating lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

One method that I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought and behavioral patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful changes that support their emotional well-being and relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients better understand their emotions, attachment needs, and relationship patterns. My approach focuses on identifying recurring cycles that may contribute to conflict or disconnection while creating a supportive space to explore the emotions beneath these patterns. Together, we work toward healthier communication, stronger emotional connections, and more secure and fulfilling relationships.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) because it allows me to help clients recognize their strengths, identify what is already working in their lives, and build practical solutions toward their goals. This approach encourages clients to focus on their abilities and resources rather than feeling defined by their problems. By working collaboratively, I help clients develop realistic and achievable steps that can create meaningful and positive changes in their lives and relationships.

Structural Family Therapy

I utilize Structural Family Therapy because it allows me to understand how family roles, boundaries, relationships, and patterns of interaction may contribute to the challenges a family is experiencing. This approach helps me work collaboratively with families to identify unhealthy patterns, strengthen boundaries, improve communication, and create healthier family dynamics.
