I understand that a therapeutic relationship requires comfort and a certain interpersonal energy that helps you feel at ease sharing your most personal information. Ideally, our first session will allow you an opportunity to "interview" me for this just right fit. If you are comfortable, we will proceed into a psycho-social assessment in which I will try to gain a complete picture of your current challenges, your past history, and your goals for therapy.
Empathy and energy drive my interactions and the relationships I develop are supported by my spiritual foundation as well as my own unique experiences. In my personal life I have experienced deep joys and debilitating challenges. In counseling sessions, I have two primary guideposts: your energy and your outcomes. I am driven by data. I want you to feel safe and respected; I also want to challenge you toward greater outcomes, which can sometimes be a little uncomfortable. I want you to be motivated toward feeling and doing better.
Clients who struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, coping skills, learning disabilities, self-esteem, relationships, spirituality. I have extensive experience with group counseling and family psychoeducation. I have some experience with couples and family conflict.

It does not aim to eliminate negative experiences, but rather to help individuals accept them as part of life and commit to actions aligned with their values.
