(she/her)
I worked as a psychiatric RN for 10 years in one of hospital in San Diego and decided to become a nurse practitioner to have more involvement with direct patients care through medication management and treatment plans. I have been a nurse practitioner for almost 4 years and enjoy the time I spend with my patients. I currently work at a crisis stabilization unit and I provide care to the underserved community. I also work in different nursing homes collaborating with other providers.
I like to spend an hour with my patient on the initial visit so I can gather the information needed to provide the most appropriate treatment and 30 minutes on follow up appointment.
Having worked in psychiatry for 15 years and 3 1/2 years as a nurse practitioner. I have developed the key of helping you identify the main cause your mental health symptoms and develop a treatment plan with positive outcomes.
I enjoy working with veterans, active militaries and their dependents. I also enjoy seeing young adult and assist them through their life challenges.

I believe that by making them part of the decision making regarding their care is empowering and increases the chance of compliance which leads to patient success to reach their mental health goals.
