I assist children and adults who experience mental health concerns that range from anxiety, depression, impulse control, inattentiveness, behavioral concerns, relationship challenges and difficulties with establishing healthy boundaries. Collaboratively, we can regain control of your thoughts and actions by exploring underlying concerns that are driving destructive behaviors and develop effective ways to improve overall functioning in all environments.
Our first session will entail gathering of information about your presenting concerns and understanding what aspects are impacting current functioning. I will then create a plan that will assist us throughout the course of therapy to help accomplish your goals.
I focus on implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help recognize when thoughts are troublesome and modify problematic patterns of behavior. I also approach situations with Solution Focused Therapy along with a client-centered approach in which one can expect to expand insight and self-awareness, strengthen self-worth and improve overall self-reliance. Through self-discovery, we can establish a more meaningful life.
