LCSW (she/her)7 years of experience

Ideal clients

I work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, challenges and goals. I have worked with children and adults of all ages, with a particular focus on adolescents, and young adults through middle age. I’m here to support through all life transitions, school/college, supporting you to achieve your goals, process difficult or confusing experiences, trauma, anxiety, navigate interpersonal conflicts, relationship issues or overcome challenges with self-esteem, boundaries, etc. I have a personal passion for supporting those who came here to better recognize, understand, and break their “generational curses” or patterns.

Treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Realistically, coping with anxiety, a range of other feelings and experiences, can be difficult and create barriers to growth. I like to normalize and empathize with this reality, while supporting you in identifying manageable action steps to move forward.

Mind-body approach

In my experience, the mind and body are very interconnected, often creating somatic (physical) symptoms you may not recognize as related to your mental/emotional health. I’ll support you in learning about and recognizing this connection, while also practicing and teaching methods to reduce physical symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, fatigue, body aches/tension, digestive issues, and panic related symptoms. I have a particular passion for integrating mindfulness and grounding practices that calm both the mind and body in session and out.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is designed to help heal from trauma and other distressing life events/memories. With the use of guided, rhythmic, “bi-lateral stimulation” the brain is able to reprocess these harmful memories in a way that feels safer, and aims to reduce harm and frequency of these memories or self-perceptions.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize CBT to support reflection and exploration of negative thought patterns to challenge and reframe them into healthier, gentler, and more realistic thoughts. This is especially helpful with anxiety, depression, and trauma narratives to build confidence and a greater sense of grounding

Strength-Based

I see everyone from a lens of strength and resilience. In practice, I aim to support you in recognizing and utilizing these strengths or protective factors you already have. If it’s first hard to recognize your own strengths, it’s my goal to support you in seeing (and eventually believing) them for yourself.
