New to Grow
Greetings! My name is Brandais and I have been working as a therapist for 11 years. I work primarily with children, women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I provide a practical, safe, and warm space for you to work through your problems. I enjoy helping clients to feel safe, empowered and to find solutions or heal from past traumas that plague them. I look forward to hearing from you and working with you soon.
Your first session with me will be relaxed. You will lead the session by sharing what feels comfortable about yourself and what you are struggling with. We will then come up with a plan together to work through your problems and discuss possible solutions.
I like to use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy ( change the way you think, change the way you act), person-centered therapy (you are the expert in your story), and mindfulness (being present and stress reduction) during sessions. I will always allow for you to dictate what feels comfortable and will try to work with you to find practical solutions.
