(he/him)
I am a licensed therapist who works with individuals seeking support for anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. As a clinician with 9+ years of providing social work services to several client populations, including individuals diagnosed with substance use disorder and severe mental illness classifications, I bring both professional expertise and cultural awareness to my work. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I am committed to helping clients navigate challenges, strengthen coping skills, and achieve their personal goals in a welcoming and respectful environment.
During the first session, clients can expect for us to get to know each other and explore if I am a good fit to partner with them during their pursuit of reaching their preferred outcomes. During this process, we will hopefully develop a therapeutic rapport while discussing what needs the client feels they have, previous therapeutic experiences, expectations during treatment, and potential treatment pathways if the client is still open to working with me.
Many of my clients credit my rapport building and ability to assist them with focusing on their "Why" as my greatest strength. As a therapist with a therapist, I have an ability to offer non-judgmental space and share relevant life experience that is common across population and within the human experience as a whole. I understand that there is no "One size fits all" method when exploring life aspects that may be troubling in the moment, but I pride myself on partnering with my clients to develop methods unique to them and their situations.
I work with individuals at various stages of life who may be facing a variety of life challenges. This includes stress, relationship concerns, life transitions, grief, anxiety, and aspects pertaining to achieving personal growth. Life can present unexpected challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected. I work alongside clients to better understand their experiences, foster self-awareness, and develop strategies that support emotional wellness, resilience, and meaningful change.

By utilizing CBT techniques, I am able to gain valuable insight into the client's cognitive considerations with respects to how they view their problem areas, who and what they identify as potential strengths and needs, while also assisting them in identifying potential avenues of actions items to progress toward their individual preferred outcomes.
I implement ACT techniques, particularly when clients are facing stressors and circumstances that may not be immediately apparent or addressed short-term. This can be helpful when assisting someone with accepting that while what they are going through may be difficult, there are a number of different ways to commit to improving how they feel and commit to constructively changing the things that are within the client's control.
As a DBT Certified therapist, this technique is utilized to explore how a client manages their emotional shifts, identify patterns and factors associated with these shifts, while following the guidelines on DBT so that the client processes and makes improvements to minimize the significant emotional pulls that hinder life functioning aspects.
I utilize MI-OARS to assist clients with exploring their motivations for pursuing change and offer psychoeducation on their current stage of change. We also discuss the impacts of barriers and progress towards preferred outcomes, in an effort to utilize realistic methods unique to the client in maintaining aspects of positive change once achieved.
I utilize SFBT techniques to help the clients identify strengths, resources, and previous successes in managing current challenges, with a focus on self-awareness of personal coping abilities. During treatment we also identify needs specific strategies and establish realistic short-term objectives that the client can implement between sessions.
