New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 15 years of experience helping people navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and periods when life simply feels uncertain or overwhelming. I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms—it is an opportunity to better understand yourself, reconnect with what matters, and create a life with greater meaning and purpose. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, providing a space where you can feel genuinely heard while also being supported and challenged toward meaningful change.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy and what you hope might change. There is no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out—we will talk about what has been happening, what matters most to you, and where you may be feeling stuck. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together toward meaningful change.
My approach goes beyond simply managing symptoms. I combine more than 15 years of clinical experience with a practical, meaning-centered approach that helps you understand not only what you are struggling with, but what may be keeping you stuck and what you want your life to become. I listen with compassion, ask thoughtful questions, and respectfully challenge patterns that may no longer serve you. Therapy with me is a collaborative process focused on greater self-understanding, meaningful change, and building a life that feels more purposeful and authentic.
My ideal client is someone who recognizes that something in their life deserves attention and is willing to explore it. You may be facing a specific problem you want to resolve, navigating a difficult transition, looking to grow beyond patterns that have kept you stuck, or simply wanting to understand yourself and your life more deeply. You don't need to have all the answers or even know exactly what you are looking for. What matters is a willingness to be curious, reflect honestly, and work toward meaningful change.
I use a strength-based approach that recognizes you as more than the problem that brings you to therapy. Together, we identify the strengths, experiences, values, relationships, and abilities you already possess and explore how they can help you address current challenges. Rather than focusing only on what is wrong, we look at what has helped you endure, adapt, and grow—and how those strengths can be used more intentionally. This approach allows us to address real difficulties while building confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of possibility for meaningful change.
I may incorporate biofeedback as a practical tool to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses to stress. By receiving real-time information about physiological responses—such as heart rate, breathing, muscle tension, or other measures—clients can become more aware of how their bodies respond to anxiety, stress, and emotional activation. During therapy, we can pair this awareness with breathing, relaxation, mindfulness, and other coping strategies so clients can observe how their bodies respond as they practice these skills. Over time, the goal is to strengthen self-awareness and develop greater confidence in recognizing and regulating stress responses both inside and outside of therapy.
