Hi, I’m Marilyn. Are you tired of holding everything together externally while internally you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or not like yourself anymore? Or, maybe your mind won’t slow down, your motivation has changed, past experiences keep affecting you, or stress has become your new normal? You don’t have to keep pushing through and wondering why you don’t feel like yourself.

I blend traditional medication management psychiatry with functional and integrative approaches that get to the root of your challenges—not just the symptoms.

I’m a dual board-certified Psychiatric and Family Nurse Practitioner providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD/trauma, stress, and emotional overwhelm. My approach to mental health care is integrative and whole-person, with the understanding that mental health is influenced by more than symptoms alone. Medication can be an important part of treatment, but effective psychiatric care also means understanding the person behind the diagnosis. Alongside medication management, we may explore factors such as sleep, nutrition, stress, movement, relationships, daily routines, and life circumstances that may be affecting your mental and emotional well-being. When clinically appropriate, I incorporate brief evidence-informed interventions and psychoeducation into psychiatric visits. This may include helping you recognize the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; practicing breathing or grounding techniques; challenging unhelpful thought patterns; developing practical coping strategies; and strengthening motivation for meaningful change. My role is not simply to prescribe medication. It is to listen carefully, understand the bigger picture, and work collaboratively with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs and goals. I want you to feel heard, respected, informed, and actively involved in your care. The goal is not simply to get through the day. It is to help you move toward greater stability, clarity, and a renewed sense of yourself. If you’re ready to explore whether integrative psychiatric medication management may be right for you, I invite you to reach out.

First session

Your first session is a safe, supportive space to share your story without judgment. We’ll explore your mental and physical health history, lifestyle, emotional patterns, and goals to get a full picture of what’s going on beneath the surface. Here’s what you can expect when we work together: - Individualized Care – Your care is not one-size-fits-all. I tailor each session to your unique needs, concerns, and goals. - Root-Cause Insight – We’ll identify underlying contributors—like stress, sleep, nutrition, trauma, or hormone imbalances—that may be affecting your mental wellness. - Practical, Personalized Plans – You’ll leave with clear next steps: whether that’s medication options, lifestyle shifts, therapy tools, or supplement support. - Ongoing Guidance & Accountability – I’ll walk with you as a partner in your healing journey—adjusting your plan as needed to support real progress. - A Safe, Compassionate Space – You’re free to be real here. No masks. No shame. Just support and understanding. Clients often leave our first session feeling heard, relieved, and hopeful—with a renewed sense of direction and possibility. My goal is to help you not just feel better, but thrive—mentally, emotionally, and physically. I do not complete FMLA, short-term disability (STD) or LTD (long-term disability) paperwork.

Strengths

What makes my approach different is the way I treat the whole person—not just a diagnosis. I integrate evidence-based psychiatric medications with functional medicine, lifestyle coaching, and compassionate therapy to uncover the root causes of mental health challenges like anxiety, trauma, and depression. Rather than relying solely on medication, I explore how your nutrition, sleep, stress levels, relationships, hormonal balance, and even gut health may be affecting your mood and focus. I also incorporate breif supportive cognitive and behavioral interventions when appropriate to help shift limiting beliefs and spark meaningful, lasting change. Clients who work with me often say they finally feel seen and understood—not rushed, not judged. They leave sessions with clarity, practical tools, and a personalized plan that fits their real life. Over time, they experience more than just symptom relief—they gain greater self-awareness, resilience, emotional regulation, and confidence to move forward. This integrative approach leads to deeper healing and long-term results—so you can not only feel better, but live better.

Ideal clients

I help adolescents, young adults, and mid-career professionals overwhelmed from cycles of anxiety, depression, and trauma —so they can feel calm, focused, and whole again. Through an integrative approach—blending medication management, breif therapeutic approaches, supplements, and lifestyle coaching—I guide my clients in quieting negative self-talk and reclaiming their confidence, clarity, purpose, and joy. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, struggling with emotional regulation, feeling chronically stressed, or just tired of quick-fix solutions that don’t last—I help you uncover the root causes and reconnect with your inner resilience. My clients often want more than just medication—they want clarity, holistic healing, and sustainable tools to feel well in mind, body, and spirit. If you're ready to feel grounded, gain insight, and take back control of your mental health with a thoughtful, integrative approach, I may be a good fit for your journey, and I will love to meet you.

Treatment methods

Integrative

My Approach to Care I combine holistic psychiatry with the principles of functional and lifestyle medicine to treat the whole person—mind, body, and environment. Instead of just managing symptoms, I help uncover and address root causes by looking at nutrition, sleep, movement, stress, relationships, and more. Each plan is personalized to your unique biology and life story, empowering you to heal, find balance, and thrive. My practice does not PRESCRIBE CONTROL SUBSTANCES (STIMULANTS AND, OR BENZODIAZEPINES) at this time.

She's absolutely amazing. I always feel refreshed after speaking with her. She's always so calm and welcoming. I feel like I can tell her anything and she hears me. You can speak and not be heard. But she hears me and that's extremely comforting.
