LPC, 8 years of experience
Hey there! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Connecticut. I received my Masters and Doctorate from the University of Hartford and have been practicing for over 7 years. I help children and young adults with their emotions so they can become the best versions of themselves. I have also worked with adults of all ages through different life stages. Through our work together it is my hope that you can become confident and have a large tool box of strategies to help you navigate whatever life experiences you encounter. In addition to this, I am a school psychologist. I have significant experience navigating the world of special education, including IEPs and 504s, service hours, and goal writing. I am happy to support kids and parents with their experience with education.
In our first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other and working to find one goal we can start on. Everything can be broken down into smaller, more manageable steps!
Working with children and young adults for the last seven years has helped me understand how challenging navigating different situations can be. I have worked with a lot of children/young adults on a variety of issues and have identified some solid strategies that my clients have benefitted from.
I love working with children and adults who are experiencing anxiety or symptoms of ADHD and Autism. I also love working with adults through different stages of their life. I have supported clients through trauma, big changes, and small areas of improvement. My clients may have one specific area they'd like to work on or they may have several things - either way we can work together to feel better!
I like to have an emphasis on compassion in my therapeutic techniques. It is important to practice self-compassion and also compassion towards others.
