Jasmin is a passionate mental health therapist who has over three years of experience providing a safe space for adults who are seeking help with disordered eating, body image, childhood trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Her therapy style aims to help clients bring awareness to thoughts that help facilitate healing within the body. Jasmin completed her Bachelor of Social Work from Texas Woman's University and her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville Kentucky. She utilizes a collaborative client-centered approach using trauma-informed therapy modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). To partner with Jasmin means you will connect with a therapist who accepts your vulnerability, experiences, and most importantly allows you to exist without judgement. She seeks to establish a relationship to equip you to not only identify and build on your strengths but instill the belief that trauma should not keep you from experiencing a meaningful life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I specialize in working with people who struggle with their relationship with food, body image, traumatic experiences, depression, anxiety, and a variety of other mental health concerns.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I am focused on clients who struggle with their relationship with food and their body image, but I invite all who want to live an intentional impactful life.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients learn to tolerate discomfort in their body due to trauma, while reminding them they are safe in the present moment.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients choose peace by accepting, not liking, the things that are out of their control and tolerate the discomfort associated with it.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS to help clients connect, heal, and show compassion towards their inner child and the protective parts that develop due to past trauma.
