In our first session, we will focus on information gathering. What that means is that we will collect information on the client's reasons for seeking counseling and overall goals. We will also begin to focus on the main concern of the client's which led them to where they are. This will lead us to better understand the path to take in therapy. The reason for that is because often the reason or reasons for seeking therapy exist at a root not immediately understood by the client or clinician. There is often much digging and growing to do.
As a case manager in a shelter, I was often the one who took on cases others were not able to deal with. My niche is working with clients in crisis or with similar concerns that may lead to a crisis. I specialize in dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar and PTSD. I have been able to house clients that dealt with multiple barriers to housing such as mental illness, lack of income, or prejudice due to sexual orientation. In private practice, I frequently work with clients over shorter or longer periods making sure they have the tools to manage a variety of life challenges.
I focus on adults in a wide variety of ages and situations, I focus on individual clients and sometimes couples. I do sometimes work with teens transitioning into young adulthood. Many clients I work with start therapy uncertain of what to focus on. Sometimes they have something to focus on but ultimately the problems run deeper. Also, many are seeking to understand what is happening behind a thought that appears on the surface to be irrational. Understanding what is happening behind the irrational thought is crucial. Then answers will be clear and advice not needed. It may be a short journey to realize this. It may take longer. But we are on the road together. I am a companion on the journey :)
I use this treatment method to help with life transitions and different types of losses.
I use this treatment to help clients create more healthy, constructive

She is amazing. She listens without judgement and makes you feel comfortable to share. She asks the right questions to allow you to express more and provides reassurance. She is welcoming and always makes sure you are safe, mentally and physically. She is extremely understanding and I have never felt judged with her. Absolutely awesome!

It was great. She asked questions and genuinely listened to my responses and gave either positive feedback or follow up questions to my responses. It went really well, and when I was so anxious at the beginning she helped out and it was a really good session. I will 111% be rebooking her.
