Has therapy been a something you have considered but you were afraid to take that first step? I am a licensed mental health counselor and certified Transgender Specialist. My experience includes providing mental health services to individuals (adults and adolescents) and couples. I have also worked with EAP clients as well as court-ordered clients. Overall, I provide services to individuals, families, and couples. As a certified transgender specialist I work with individuals seeking guidance and support through their journey of becoming their authentic self. I also work with the L.G.B.T.I.A. community (adults, adolescents, and couples) by ensuring that they can come into a therapeutic relationship with me that is safe and free from judgment.
Clients can feel comfortable to be themselves in my safe space.
My treatment methods include but are not limited to, motivational interviewing techniques, solution-focused interventions, cognitive behavior therapy, and structured family therapy. My treatment method is designed meet the client where they and establish goals that will allow them to successfully achieve that outcome.
My biggest strengths comes from person centered therapeutic approaches. The mental health treatment process requires openness, understanding, validation, and solutions. My interventions allows the client to navigate through this process and feel that they are in a safe space that supports their process.
