Hello! My name is Autumn and I offer a safe space to work through trauma, life stressors, late diagnosed ADHD/AUTISM, depression, and anxiety by increasing coping skills, validating your experiences, and offering DBT skills to guide you to better understanding of yourself and what you want out of life. Day to day life can become hectic and unmanageable when we have past issues that are unresolved or when our stress levels simply become too overwhelming; I am here to help you navigate your world while increasing positive coping skills and improving your overall quality of life. In addition to being educated, I also have experience. I am a trauma survivor and have successfully managed mental health issues. The interventions and support I provide have worked and will work. Some of the interventions I utilize are DBT, Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga/Body Movement, as well as focusing on self-care, self-love, and self-acceptance. Religious trauma is an aspect of therapy I am open to discussing. I am here to help you find your peace in religion and spirituality. I'm on your side BPD's! Let's use DBT and talk therapy to make sense of your symptoms and create a life worth living! #NeuroSpicy #AntiOppresiveTherapist

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I like to spend the first session getting to know what brings you to therapy, what your current stressors are, how you are taking care of yourself currently and then possibly provide some insight or coping strategies to help you increase your day-to-day satisfaction.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a trauma survivor and individual who experiences anxiety and depression, I am here to help you normalize your experiences and to make peace with them; to accept them as part of your story. Not only am I educated in Mental Health, but I also have real-life experience and know how difficult processing trauma, anxiety, and depression can be. Also, I consider myself to be neuro-spicy, meaning I'm neurodivergent due to my ADHD - let me help you get organized and get things together if you too are neuro-spicy.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with individuals who experience anxiety, depression, and Neurodivergence. I work well with individuals who are ready for change and who are ready to make the changes (no matter how slow) needed to achieve their goals. Couples join me for a transformative 12-week couples coaching program dedicated to understanding and improving communication and connection within your relationships. Whether you're navigating the highs and lows of a long-term commitment, exploring the depths of new love, or seeking ways to strengthen an already strong bond, this program is designed with you in mind.

My treatment methods

Daialectical Behavior (DBT)

I like to use DBT throughout our conversations. The main parts of DBT I use to introduce DBT is wise mind, H.A.L.T., TIPP Skills, Emotional Regulation skills, Mindfulness, and Communication Skills.

Compassion Focused

I understand that life can bring us challenges whether we want them or not, and I want to share my compassion and insight to help you create a life that you don't want to run away from.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

It's all about being in the present moment! Not in the future, not in the past, but right here, right now in the present moment not judge or expecting it to be anyway. Simple accept what is and breath deeply.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

This is a 3 month trauma processing program that we will go through in weekly sessions. This is an evidence-based practice developed to help overcome traumatic experiences.

Trauma Informed Care

When it comes to overcoming trauma both in the body and the mind, I believe each person's healing journey is unique. Some of the things that are involved in my trauma informed care is guided meditations, inner child healing, trauma informed yoga, journaling, talk therapy when you feel safe and ready, music therapy, and holistic self-care.
