LCSW (she/her)11 years of experience

Welcome! I'm glad you're here. Seeking therapy is an important first step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. I believe healing happens through genuine connection, curiosity, and practical tools that help you move forward in ways that feel authentic to you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience supporting individuals and families through anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. My background also includes working with military children and families, hospice and bereavement, and adults navigating recovery. As an active-duty military spouse, I also understand the unique challenges that can come with military life, including PCS moves, deployments, career changes, and periods of transition. Clients often describe me as warm, approachable, and easy to talk to. I balance empathy with honest conversation, creating a space where you can feel supported while also being challenged to grow, flourish, and thrive. Outside of therapy, I'm an avid reader and sometimes incorporate thoughtfully selected book recommendations or "book prescriptions to complement our work and encourage reflection between sessions.

First session

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make our first session welcoming, collaborative, and judgment-free. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, and what you'd like to change. I'll also learn more about your history, strengths, and current supports. Most importantly, this is a chance for us to get to know one another, ask questions, and determine whether we're a good fit.

Strengths

I'm curious by nature and tend to notice patterns, connections, and the things that may be difficult to say out loud. I'm comfortable sitting with silence and giving you space to find your own words rather than rushing to fill the moment. I ask thoughtful questions, offer honest feedback, and will gently challenge you when needed. My goal isn't to tell you what to do, but to help you better understand yourself and make choices that feel right for you.

Ideal clients

I work best with adults navigating life transitions, grief, anxiety, caregiver stress, substance use concerns, or relationship challenges. I have a particular passion for supporting military-connected individuals, caregivers, and those navigating grief or recovery. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you're ready to better understand yourself, explore what's holding you back, and make meaningful changes, we may be a good fit.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe therapy should be as unique as the person sitting across from me. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor treatment to your individual needs, goals, and experiences while drawing from evidence-based practices that support lasting change. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors so we can develop healthier patterns that support your goals.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy builds on your strengths and focuses on practical solutions that move you toward your goals.

Trauma-Informed Care

Trauma-Informed Care creates a safe, supportive environment that recognizes the impact trauma can have on your emotional well-being and healing process. Above all, my approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered. Together, we'll focus on what matters most so you can navigate life's transitions with greater confidence, heal from life's challenges, and create a life that allows you to grow, flourish, and thrive.
