Hello! I'm so glad you're here, looking for someone to work with to help you heal and grow. It takes a lot of strength and bravery to take this step and I hope you find just what you need. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Southport, NC, with over 20 years of experience working with adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions and self-growth. It is truly my honor to meet people where they are and collaborate with them in a meaningful way to help them get where they want to be in their lives. My end goal is to empower you with the tools and self-knowledge you need to make lasting, positive change in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will briefly explore your history, what you would like to focus on in our time together, and identifying your goals. I fully recognize that a positive relationship is vital and will begin to work on earning your trust from the moment we meet.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have solid clinical skills and many years of experience helping people make significant, meaningful changes in their lives. I come from a non-judgmental, warm, welcoming place and recognize that each person is unique - there are no "one size fits all" approaches - so I bring flexibility, openness and creativity to the table. I genuinely love what I do - I am honored by and grateful for the opportunity to serve my fellow humans.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized CBT in my practice for the past 20 years because it is so effective in helping clients recognize the relationship between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how to make shifts in those areas in order to grow. I also love that CBT offers straight-forward, practical strategies that can result in real, meaningful change and progress toward the goals my clients set for themselves.

Strength-Based

I am truly passionate about helping my clients recognize their strengths and the wisdom they've gained from their experiences - and then working with them to best utilize those strengths to achieve their goals. A strength-based approach helps empower clients by building confidence in their ability to apply effective strategies to obstacles they face, long after leaving therapy.
