I am a licensed therapist with over 25 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented, creating a space where you can better understand yourself while also developing practical tools for change. Together, we will work to uncover patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen your sense of self, and help you move forward with greater clarity, balance, and emotional resilience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what’s bringing you to therapy at this time, as well as any relevant background that helps me understand your experiences more fully. There is no pressure to share everything at once, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I will also ask some questions about your current concerns, history, and goals so we can begin to clarify what you’re hoping to get out of our work together. We’ll talk about how I approach therapy and make sure it feels like a good fit for you. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of how we might work together and what next steps could look like. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, supported, and with a sense of direction moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With each client I fine the balance between depth and practicality. I integrate insight-oriented, psychodynamic work with mindfulness-based strategies, helping clients understand the underlying patterns driving their thoughts, emotions, and relationships while also learning tools they can apply in their daily lives. My work is highly individualized, I tailor each session to the unique needs, pace, and goals of the person in front of me. I pay close attention to relational dynamics, both in clients’ lives and within the therapeutic relationship itself, as this often becomes a powerful space for insight and change. In terms of results, clients often report a deeper understanding of themselves, improved emotional regulation, and more clarity and confidence in their relationships. Over time, this leads to more intentional decision making, healthier boundaries, and a stronger, more grounded sense of self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support adults who are navigating periods of transition, emotional overwhelm, or feeling “stuck” in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients come to therapy experiencing anxiety, depression, irritability, or a quiet sense of dissatisfaction in their relationships or daily lives. They are often high-functioning on the outside but internally struggling with self-doubt, resentment, burnout, or a loss of connection to themselves. I work especially well with individuals facing relationship challenges whether that’s within a marriage, partnership, family system, or after a significant loss or rupture. I also support clients moving through life transitions such as divorce, shifts in identity, caregiving roles, or changes in career or stage of life. My approach is particularly helpful for those who want to better understand their emotional responses, improve communication, and develop healthier, more sustainable ways of coping. My “dream clients” are individuals who are curious about themselves and open to looking a bit deeper, even if that feels uncomfortable at times. They don’t need to have everything figured out, but they do have a desire to feel better, to understand their patterns, and to create meaningful change. Many are insightful and self-aware, yet find themselves repeating the same relational or emotional cycles. I especially enjoy working with clients who value a collaborative, reflective process, those who want both practical tools and deeper insight. If you are someone who is ready to explore not just what is happening in your life, but why, and how to move forward with greater clarity, self-compassion, and intention, then we would likely be a strong fit.
