In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will require some discussions about how therapy can work for you, my requirements as a licensed provider, and what your expectations might be. It is largely introductory, and it can set the stage for a relationship that can being healing, changes, and growth.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I will listen to you. And I will work to help you build goals and pathways for you to achieve your goals.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I take great pride working with people who are ready for change. It takes courage to change. And we can grow from taking the risks required to change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Insight into what we experience in ourselves and how we respond to the world can provide relief, a sense of order, and perspective on how we can form new, healthy thought behavior and patterns.
Trauma Informed Care
All human are affected by past experiences. For many people trauma is an intensely formative experience. It must be respected and explored with care, because post-traumatic stress can be an intense emotional experience.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
We seek physical therapy to improve our physiological experience. We seek psychotherapy to improve our psycho-emotional experiences. Inherent in my work with every client is the goal of living out a more healthy, satisfying, meaning-filled life... one where positive/rewarding emotions are always attainable.
