Hello! I am an LCSW with 15 years of experience working with adolescents and their families. I have worked in community mental health, home-based services and as an outpatient therapist. I enjoy supporting and teaching clients the skills necessary to navigate life’s challenges. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy and is essential to making progress.
In our first session I will focus on getting to know you and putting you at ease with the therapeutic process. Relationships are the most important part of therapy in my opinion and I will work hard to build a positive one with you.
In my 15 years of experience I have developed strong relationship building skills. I have also learned and used many therapeutic techniques that I combine in unique ways based on clients’ goals.
I love working with clients who are motivated and open-minded regarding new strategies and techniques. I especially enjoy working with women’s issues, including perinatal mental health and infertility/reproductive issues.
I have used DBT regularly for 15 years in my practice. It is a great tool for teaching and practicing skills to successfully navigate string emotions and interpersonal relationships.
