Hello, my name is Sharnice White, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related conditions using a compassionate, evidence-based approach. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to improve your mental health and overall well-being—at your pace, on your terms.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where we’ll take time to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, mental health history, and goals for therapy, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you. This is also your opportunity to ask questions, share what’s important to you, and help me understand how I can best support you. My goal is to make you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we begin your journey toward healing and growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and supported. I combine evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and mindfulness with a personalized, trauma-informed approach. My clients often tell me they appreciate how I balance compassion with accountability—helping them make meaningful progress while honoring their unique pace and story. I focus not just on symptom relief, but on long-term emotional growth, resilience, and empowerment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to support individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and take active steps toward emotional wellness. I work well with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic stress, and trauma. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply seeking clarity, I provide a collaborative and supportive space to explore your thoughts, identify patterns, and build healthier coping strategies. My ideal clients are open to growth, curious about change, and willing to engage in meaningful conversations that support healing and long-term well-being.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My work with CBT has focused on helping patients identify maladaptive thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and achieve measurable behavioral change, all while tailoring interventions to meet diverse cultural and developmental needs.

Family Therapy

I have provided family therapy services to diverse populations, addressing issues such as communication breakdown, parenting challenges, intergenerational trauma, and mental health concerns impacting the family system

Psychoeducation

I have consistently integrated psychoeducation into my clinical practice to empower patients and families with knowledge about mental health conditions, treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies. I have delivered psychoeducational interventions in both individual and group formats, tailoring content to the client’s age, cultural background, literacy level, and diagnosis. Topics commonly addressed include symptom recognition, relapse prevention, stress management, and the importance of treatment adherence. My goal has always been to enhance insight, reduce stigma, and promote active participation in the therapeutic process.

I wanted to select more than just these two attributes. Sharnice immediately made me feel comfortable, I enjoyed her direct style and authenticity and felt that she genuinely wants to help. I'm excited to continue with her.
