New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with doctoral-level training and a background in crisis intervention and high-acuity mental health care. My practice focuses on supporting adolescents and adults navigating emotional dysregulation, attachment wounds, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, and symptoms associated with borderline personality disorder. I take a warm, direct, and collaborative approach to therapy, with an emphasis on creating a relationship where clients feel understood, challenged, and supported as they work toward meaningful and lasting change.
Your first session is a chance for us to slow down, get to know one another, and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy. You do not need to have the perfect words or know exactly where to begin. I’ll ask questions about what you have been experiencing, what feels most important right now, and what you hope might be different in your life. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together. Therapy is something we build together, at a pace that feels safe enough for you to be honest and fully yourself.
I became a therapist because I know how deeply people can be affected by feeling unseen, misunderstood, or alone in what they are carrying. I have always been drawn to the parts of people that are often hidden beneath the surface—the fear, grief, anger, hope, and vulnerability that can be difficult to put into words. What keeps me connected to this work is the privilege of sitting with people in those moments and helping them feel less alone, more understood, and more able to make sense of themselves. I believe healing often begins when someone finally feels safe enough to be fully known without being judged or abandoned.
My ideal client is someone who feels things deeply and may struggle with emotional intensity, relationship patterns, fear of abandonment, trust, identity, or feeling misunderstood by others. They may look high-functioning on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to create the stability and relationships they want. I especially enjoy working with clients who are curious about themselves and willing to look beneath the surface, even when that process feels uncomfortable. You do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—just a willingness to be honest, explore what has shaped you, and work toward feeling more grounded, secure, and connected to yourself and others.
I use an integrative approach because I believe therapy should be tailored to the person in front of me, rather than expecting every client to fit within one specific model. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate attachment-based therapy, DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and other relational or trauma-informed interventions. Together, we will explore both the deeper patterns that may be shaping your emotions and relationships while also building practical skills you can use outside of session. My approach is flexible, collaborative, and grounded in what feels most helpful for your goals, personality, and lived experience.
