Hi there! my name is Monica Williams am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I approach counseling from a holistic and integrative perspective. In other words, you get the best of both worlds! I get the chance to use these modalities in my sessions to encourage healing and help you feel better.
We will explore your history, which can include your patterns and themes in your life, your relationship dynamics and impactful events. We will then, together, come up with a plan that moves you towards your outcomes/goals for our time together. It is important for you to know that you are in the "driver's seat" in the process!
I am approachable, I am able to add humor into the process, I am empathetic, compassionate, and I can bring a spiritual and holistic view to the process. I am able to make our sessions engaging and fun so that your challenging situations become less overwhelming to approach in therapy. Afterall, counseling is a journey, and it is my intention to find rainbow after rain, and empower your highest version of you!
I enjoy working with Adult individuals, of varied populations. I have a soft spot for adult women who are spiritually minded, holistically open, and committed to their own journey of transition and transformation.
I use an Integrative approach, combining clinical and holistic concepts to meet you where you are. This include energy work, aspects of CBT, Adlerian, eclectic, spiritual-not religious, and intuitive perspectives to name a few! This modality allows me to make the counseling experience more individualized for you.
I utilize concepts of IFS, which focuses on the inner child and the family system within. Internal Family Systems helps to get to the root of core beliefs to help heal and re-parent the child/children within. Working within this inner child framework can deeply impact individuals for the rest of their lives. IFS is a very effective treatment modality that works at your own pace.
