(she/her)
I am a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and Psychiatric-Mental Health, with a strong foundation in general medicine and cardiology. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a wide range of patients—managing chronic conditions, supporting healthy aging, and promoting cardiovascular wellness. Driven by a deep interest in the connection between mind and body, I pursued additional certification in psychiatry to better support individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges. My love for helping people with mental health conditions continues to inspire my work every day. I take a holistic, person-centered approach, integrating physical, emotional, and even gut health into treatment plans. I believe true healing involves treating the whole person—not just isolated symptoms—and that care should be compassionate, timely, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
In our first meeting, I will take a thorough history in a nonjudgmental, supportive setting to ensure we create the most effective treatment plan. This allows for a deeper understanding of your needs and helps guide medication management and therapy for the best possible outcomes. My approach is always patient-centered, meaning your goals, preferences, and comfort are at the heart of your care.
As a PMHNP, my greatest strengths lie in my compassionate listening, clinical expertise, and holistic approach to care. I strive to build a safe, trusting relationship with each patient, where they feel genuinely heard and respected—free from judgment or stigma. I bring a strong medical background with years of experience in general medicine and cardiology, which allows me to see the full picture of a patient’s health—mind and body working together. Above all, I prioritize individualized, patient-centered care, meeting each person where they are and working collaboratively toward healing, balance, and long-term well-being.
Motivational Interviewing
In my practice, I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a core component of how I engage with clients. MI is a client-centered, collaborative approach that respects each individual's autonomy and inner wisdom. Rather than imposing change, I work alongside clients to help them explore their own motivations, resolve ambivalence, and strengthen their commitment to meaningful change. This approach creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and understood. Whether someone is facing addiction, mental health challenges, life transitions, or behavior change, MI supports clients in identifying their values and goals—then moving toward them with clarity and confidence. My role is to guide the conversation with empathy, curiosity, and skill, helping clients uncover their own reasons for change and build momentum at their own pace.
