Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I'll ask questions to get to know you and answer any questions you might have. Just share what you feel comfortable with, but all information provided will help me to best support you. Then we'll collaboratively develop treatment goals (what you hope to get out of therapy) and discuss how long you'd like to be in therapy. No need to have it all figured out now; it'll become clearer through the process.

Treatment that is deeply client-focused and draws on your strengths. Session time is used so that you feel you're gaining maximum benefits toward your goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

For the past 10 years, I have primarily supported adults (18+) from various backgrounds, ethnicities and from the LGBTQ+ community, facing a wide array of challenges. I enjoy working with clients who have an interest in learning and have a desire for personal-growth. ** The clients that I refer out: I am unable to provide letters or complete forms for disability certification, time off work, court ordered services, an emotional support animal, etc.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The foundational model of CBT involves thoughts, feelings, behaviors, events, and how these elements influence each other. Such a simple model, but with life-changing implications. I've used CBT both for 1-on-1 therapy and group therapy.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a treatment form that is jam-packed with skills information. Research has shown DBT to be helpful for many mental health issues. I've provided "DBT informed" 1-on-1 therapy and group therapy. Please note that I am not DBT certified.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness has the potential to unlock peace to anyone, anytime, anywhere. I've used mindfulness both for 1-on-1 therapy and group therapy.
