Hello! I'm Jessica, a licensed mental health counselor with over thirteen years of professional experience. I provide individual therapy for both teens and adults. I have experience in assisting clients in addressing trauma (past, recent, or present), anxiety, difficult transitions, coping with grief and loss, and various other life stressors. I'm a firm believer that an individual's inherent strengths can aid them in navigating life's challenges. Seeking help is a challenging first step, and it requires bravery to make that move. I am excited to join you on your path of growth and healing!

I generally approach therapy from a Christian perspective and believe that the Bible is the ultimate source of strength and support.

First session

During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and then delve into your goals and motivations for pursuing therapy. Gaining insight into your past experiences, challenges, and strengths will allow me to tailor the therapeutic process to your unique needs and preferences so that we can work together toward healing and growth.

Strengths

Throughout my thirteen years of experience, I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and challenges. My aim is to offer a "safe space" for you to express your pain, and navigate through past traumas or current difficulties. I approach each situation with empathy and compassion, assisting you in addressing and altering unproductive patterns and habits to work toward a happier and healthier you! I generally approach therapy from a Christian perspective and believe that the Bible is the ultimate source of strength and support. However, if you do not wish to have therapy from a spiritual perspective, I am able to meet you where you are and support you in whatever way you need at this time.

Ideal clients

My expertise includes supporting clients in regard to past trauma and abuse, enhancing self-esteem and motivation, managing stress and anxiety, resolving relationship issues, coping with grief and loss, navigating infertility and adoption, and addressing various other life difficulties.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize a blend of Client-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT), all within a trauma-informed framework. Together, we will explore the interaction of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work to adjust these patterns to enhance your life in a healthy and constructive way."

Out of many profile pictures on the site, Jessica’s warm smile drew me in. On screen she is professional, caring, and creative. She asks helpful questions yet gives me space to be introspective while also adding helpful suggestions when needed.
