Hello, my name is Adrian Maldonado, and I am a licensed professional counselor. My work stems from a strength-based perspective using solution-focused, CBT, and DBT techniques. I have years of experience in treating depression, anxiety, anger, social anxiety, past trauma, family dynamics, couple dynamics and everything that falls in between. My treatment will be based on the client's needs, and helping you heal, or be the best version of yourself.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
You can expect our first session to be an opportunity to learn about who you are as a person and the things that are going on in your life that led you to seek therapy. I will mostly gain information and history from you while getting to know you better in our first session. During this session, we can begin to make a plan for you moving forward and begin to set goals for your treatment. We will make new goals as our sessions go along while we achieve the ones we set for you. During your treatment, I will provide support and guidance in helping you achieve your goals and providing you with a safe space to talk. Sometimes our session will not have to be about our set goals if you just need to talk and feel support and guidance which is very common. I look forward to working with you

My treatment methods range from solution-focused techniques, CBT, DBT and trauma-informed care.

I believe my biggest strengths as a counselor are connecting with my patients, and providing them with genuine care. I truly believe I can help you achieve your goals whether it is healing from trauma, learning coping skills, grounding techniques, self-esteem building, providing needed support, or just becoming the best version of yourself.
